After two years of working during urban summers (which are as hot or hotter than summers in the South, no matter what people say!), I quickly learned how to tackle the heat with clothing that is comfy, yet can be dressed up to look professional. Two of my favorite things to wear to work when it starts to get warmer are tank tops and tube tops. "What!?! Do you work at Hooters!?!," you may ask. Of course, Hooters isn't the only place you can wear tank tops to work, but when done the right way, you can wear tank tops and even tube tops in just about any work environment. When worn over a tank top or tube top, a blazer or cardigan can make an outfit immediately office ready!

ReplyDeleteit is definitely too warm out to not be wearing sleeveless shirts! tube tops, on the other hand, i haven't worn in YEARS. love these dressed up versions, though!

Ha ha, I don't think I've ever heard of a tank top referred to as a "shell", but maybe I have and just didn't know it was a tank top! Probably thought it was something new!!
