Deep Blue Something

In case you haven't noticed, which you probably haven't, I'm not on of those people who like to add random colors to their otherwise monochromatic/dichromatic outfits in order to make the color pop. For instance, like wearing a black dress and then wearing yellow or red shoes or accessories. I know this is "fashionable," so I've tried it a few times, but it just didn't feel right, like wearing two different colored socks on purpose or something. Well, call me boring it you want to, but I like my outfits to be color coordinated. Case in point, this outfit that I wore a couple of weeks ago. I got a lot of compliments on it at work, so color coordinating must not be all that bad.

My centerpiece, so to speak, was the blue sweater from Wet Seal that I showed in a previous post. I wore pants chocolate brown stretch pants with it, to match the brown belt. Then I put on blue eyeshadow. First, I put on Sunberry (I just love make up color names, don't you?) shade from Lancome on the lids, then a sparkly blue mark. eyeshadow on the area just below my brows. Last, I put Avon's True Color Warm Black eyeshadow on the crease of my eyelids.

For accessories, I put on my dolphin blue cat's eye necklace that I bought from Shadora, and my cuff bracelet and spiral ring with blue beads that I bought from Claire's way back when I was in middle school. I know that Claire's and Icing by Claire's are really market towards the preteen/teen age group, but they have really nice, unique accessories for super low prices. I've been going to these stores to get the majority of my jewelry and handbags since I was about 14, and honestly, I think their selection is better than what a lot of more expensive specialty stores offer.

    1. Thanks! Yeah, I based the post title after the group since I needed something catchy that had to do with the color blue, and I love that song too (gotta love '90s soft rock)!

I think you have a great taste in style and coordination!! I also agree, I like things to match and to have 1 thing stand out too much will make me think ''Nah...Next!!''
